1. Go to bitclout.com and click « Sign Up ».
2. A personal seed phrase will be generated. Copy it and store it in a safe place.
You will use it to log in.
If you lose it, you lose your account with everything in it.
Click « Next ».
3. Paste your seed phrase and click « Next ».
4. Add your phone number. This is not mandatory but if you don’t, you won’t get the Stater Gift: some free BitClout.
BitClout is a cryptocurrency that's required to use the site. This helps prevent spam.
That being said, most transactions (e.g. liking, posting, etc) cost essentially zero.
If you don’t have a smart phone, click « Skip ». Otherwise, click « Next ».
5. Verify your phone number for free BitClout.
Enter the verification code that you received on your smart phone.
Click « Verify ».
6. Enter your email address if you want to receive notifications when someone buys your coin.
Click « Next ».
7- Update your Profile
Get Starter BitClout to create a profile.
If you have not verified a phone number, you won’t receive the Starter Gift so you’ll need to purchase $60 worth of BitClout.
8. Username
Until you have either verified a phone number nor purchased BitClout, your username will be a series of random numbers and letters.
9. Buy your own coin during your first visit if you can. Otherwise, set your Founder Reward to 99% to prevent others from buying it before you do. After you have bought shares of your coin, set your Founder Reward back to approximately 10%.
10. The price of the coin you buy depends on the amount you invest. The more you invest, the higher the price of the coin. That’s how the value of the coin rises. Before you actually buy, try different amounts to invest and see how the price changes.
9. The Logout link is on the top left of the page.
Every time you logout, you’ll be asked if your seed phrase is safe because, again, if you lose it, you lose your account for ever. There is no way to retrieve it. If you know your seed phrase is safe, just copy and paste « my seed phrase is safe ».
Then click « Logout ».
